Amazon to Create 3,000 Jobs in Garner
Amazon confirmed this week that they will be creating 3,000 jobs to their Garner facility on Jones Sausage Rd.
In August of 2018 Amazon announced they would be locating a robotic sorting facility in the Town of Garner along Jones Sausage Rd. At that time, the company stated that would create 1,500 jobs at their 2.6 million square foot facility.
Amazon confirmed this week that they will be creating 3,000 jobs at their Garner facility on Jones Sausage Rd.

At that time, the company stated that they would create 1,500 jobs and construct a 2.6 million square foot facility. Now, the number of employees have doubled to 3,000.
Amazon will pay a $15 minimum wage to their employees and also offer their full-time employees benefits, which include comprehensive healthcare from day one, 401(k) with 50 percent match, up to 20 weeks paid parental leave and Amazon’s innovative Career Choice program, which pre-pays 95% of tuition for courses in high-demand fields.
“We are excited to see Amazon double their workforce here in Garner from their original projections. We believe Amazon will be a great fit for our community”, said Joe Stallings, Economic Development Director.
